EarlyPay is a free service for members of The Summit with a checking account offering access to incoming ACH payments, including direct deposits, up to one business day early. There’s no enrollment required.

All ACH payments to a Summit checking account set up with direct deposit, such as: payroll, pensions, government benefit payments, tax refunds, VA benefits, and any incoming deposit using your routing and checking account number (excludes wire transfers). 

Once you set up direct deposit to your Summit checking account, you don’t need to do anything else to get paid early!  

Direct deposit availability depends on when we receive pay information from the payer. If your deposit doesn’t arrive early, expect it to arrive on your scheduled payday. 

No, you do not need to enroll. All Summit checking accountholders are automatically enrolled to receive ACH payments, including direct deposits, up to one business day early.  

And EarlyPay is a completely free, automated service provided by The Summit. There is no fee included with this perk when you set up direct deposit.

It can depend. The day and time we make funds available will depend on when The Summit receives information about your deposit from your employer or other payor, which can vary from deposit to deposit.

No. Early availability is not guaranteed, and may vary from deposit to deposit – including those from the same payor. 

Whether we are able to provide early availability depends on when we receive information from your payor that the funds are on the way, any limitations we set on the amount of early availability, and standard fraud prevention screening. 

No. EarlyPay is available on Summit checking accounts, including: Digital Spend Accounts, Enhanced Checking and Premium Checking. This service is not available on savings accounts.

EarlyPay is a benefit available to all Summit checking account holders. Since this is an automatic perk provided to enhance your banking experience, there is no enrollment process, and members cannot opt-out of EarlyPay.

No, EarlyPay is not a loan. EarlyPay provides access to incoming ACH payments, including direct deposits, up to one business day early. 

No, Money Market accounts are not eligible. Only checking accounts with direct deposits qualify for EarlyPay.
